The
Window Sampler uses a method known as "Percussion
Coring" to drive sample tubes into the ground
up to a depth of 10m. The sample tubes are driven using
a hydraulic breaker. A hydraulic ram is then used to
extract the sample for analysis.
The term "Window Sampler" refers to an open section of
the coring tube. This feature allows the user to view the sample
in an undisturbed condition. This allows for the preservation of
bedding contacts and unconformities, slip surfaces, and laminations,
which can be important considerations when performing a geotechnical
investigation.
Our top package is a combination of Nordmeyer percussion components
and locally sourced hydraulic rams and breakers. We also offer
an entry level package based on manually operated equipment, but
we can quote kit sets on any combinations based on your needs.
